Terms & conditions

We are Lifting and Safety Gear Limited a company trading from Unit 7 Atlantic Trading Estate, Barry, CF63 3AA. When you (the person named on the order) place an order with us we do business together under the following terms & conditions.

1. Prices

We offer goods for sale through, our website www.liftingandsafetygear.co.uk. Our prices may vary from time to time due to increases in the market. The prices we quote always exclude VAT. This will be charged at the applicable rate.

2. Payment

All of our goods are offered to you on a payment with order basis. We use a company called Take payments Ltd to take our debit & credit card transactions over the phone. We use Stripe to take our payments online. Your payment is due to us prior to dispatch of your goods and is accepted by most credit cards, debit cards. We will only accept your order if it is accompanied by payment in full.

 

3. Dispatch

 

We will normally dispatch your goods within 24 – 48 hours of order being received.

4. Delivery

We will deliver your order to any UK address. We use third party carriers: Fedex and a local pallet delivery company and we will not be held responsible for delays that are outside of our control.

5. Receiving Orders

We will not be held responsible for non-delivery due to lack of signature or no one being able to receive the goods at time of delivery.

6. Availability

We aim to keep sufficient stock so that we never run out. However on occasions of unexpectedly high demand we may unfortunately run out. If this happens we may delay dispatch of your order for a couple of days while new stock is obtained. If this is longer we will inform you. You may contact us at any time to check on the progress of your order.

7. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your order you may do so at any time until we dispatch it. Your order will be packed and dispatched in a very short period. If you wish to cancel the order you should do so by telephone and we will confirm that it has been possible.

8. Warranty

If any of the goods we supply fails please send the goods to us at our Barry office where one of our LEEA trained engineers will carry out a thorough inspection and examination. If we agree that there is a warranty claim we will carry out any repair and return the goods to you in a short a time as possible. Should the item be non warranty we will send you a written quotation for the repair. We are not liable for loss of business by you due to a product failure. Some of the goods we sell carry longer manufacturers warranties, our guarantee is intended to give you additional piece of mind and not as a substitute for the manufacturers warranty.

9. Errors

Our products, prices and offers and always subject the change in the market costs. If errors are from our end, we will always try to honour our sale/offer. There may be circumstances where it is not possible for us to do so in which case you will be contacted to explain the situation.

10. Making a Payment

This website operated by Lifting and Safety Gear Limited uses Stripe for totally secure online payments. Your card details are never stored by us. Transactions are carried out over Stripe secure pages and your details are transferred using SSL encryption.

 

We use Take Payments to accept payments via the phone.

 

We accept all major credit and debit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and Maestro.

Return policy

Return Policy

We need to be notified within 14 days of the delivery date. If you wish to return an item.

 

Email sales@liftingandsafetygear.co.uk including the item(s) you would like to return and the reason for the return. We will reply with details on how you can send your item back to us.

 

Items should be returned in unused condition & in the original packaging. Unfortunately delivery charges are not refundable, where items are ordered incorrectly. Normally All refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days on receipt of returned goods.

Please note that our returns policy does not apply to products custom-made such as chain slings. Please check requirements prior to ordering.

 

Products purchased from Lifting and Safety Gear Limited can be returned for a refund as long as:

•             We are notified within 14 days from date of delivery

•             We receive the returned Products(s) in unused condition and still in the original packaging

Delivery charges are not refundable.

 

Please note that our returns policy does not apply to made-to-order items, so be sure to check your specifications carefully if ordering custom-made products such as chain slings.

Refunds Policy

 

Normally all refunds will be processed within 7- 10 working days on receipt of returned goods.

We use Google Analytics to anonymously monitor traffic and user behaviour on our website. This tool does not collect any personally information. However, if you do not want to be included in our Analytics data, you can opt out of Google Analytics using this browser add-on.

5. Information Security & Fraud Prevention

 

We take the risk of internet fraud very seriously. If we believe that an order has been placed fraudulently or that our website has been abused in any way, we reserve the right to share any relevant information with third-party fraud prevention companies (including banks) and the police.
